NEW YORK (AP) ? Taylor Swift has never revealed her target in the scathing song "Dear John," but John Mayer's pretty sure it was about him ? and he doesn't think that's cool.

In a new Rolling Stone interview, Mayer called "Dear John" cheap songwriting and said it made him feel terrible ? and he didn't deserve it.

"I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do," he said. "I never got an email. I never got a phone call. I was really caught off guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you've ever been, someone kicked you even lower?"

Swift's song from the multiplatinum "Speak Now" album takes down a former boyfriend. Swift has never confirmed that the pair dated and when asked pointedly refused to say that song was about Mayer.

Mayer's "Born and Raised," his first album in three years, debuted as the nation's best-selling album last week. It marked a return after undergoing vocal cord surgery and more notably, a torrent of negative criticism after a Playboy interview in which he spoke explicitly about his former girlfriend Jessica Simpson's bedroom skills, took what seemed to be pot shots at another famous ex, Jennifer Aniston, and used of the N-word.

He apologized at the time, and in the Rolling Stone article, talks about making a conscious decision to remove himself from the spotlight after years of courting publicity.

"I just don't think I'm supposed to be in people's faces all the time" he said. "I made it about me. ... People were like, 'Dude ? no. I like some of your songs. But get out of the frame.' People got upset I considered myself in, like, the top 10 male celebrities or something. It's like, 'No, you're the guy I listen to when I make omelets.'"

We do not (and can not) work with all these kids in the same groups. As much as anyone will tell you you can, you can?t. We have kids groups broken down into three simple groups.

Kids Fitness Challenge/Kids in Motion These groups are best suited for kids in grades 1-6 and will focus on a general fitness, getting more comfortable with being physical and having?fun! Tons of kids who ended up being fantastic athletes?started here. Running, jumping, pulling, pushing and learning how to work with others and (hopefully) build a life long love of being active.

Youth Conditioning These groups are comprised of athletes from various sports and of varying ages. This is all about GPP (General Physical Preparedness) with a lot of added work on? running, jumping, landing and cutting mechanics as well as lifting for power, strength and speed.?Non competitive athletes can get a great deal out of these, but most are playing competitive sports and the over riding goal is to get them ready to play at the next level. We have seen too many kids at ?speed camps?, ?agility clinics? and doing too much ?SAQ work while lacking too many basic skills and having a too-low level of fitness.

Sport Specific Training (SST) These kids posses a level of fitness and understand how to move and are prepared for sports. These groups are programmed for specific needs of their specific sport. It is all the right work at the right time for the right athlete. You will work on only what you will need for your upcoming sports and do the work to simply be better and have a better season.? These groups will take very fit kids who have played sports in the past, and give them the tools to play those sports better. This will be the class that takes you to the next level.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) ? Jonathan Crawford was nearly perfect for Florida.

Turned out the Gators right-hander was plenty good enough to make some college baseball history.

Crawford threw the seventh no-hitter ever in the NCAA tournament, shutting down Bethune-Cookman in a 4-0 victory in the opener of the Gainesville Regional on Friday night.

"When I came out for the eighth, I got really nervous and excited and that's when it hit me that I could get a no-hitter," Crawford said. "I was pumped. It was crazy, but a lot of fun. I guess it's a pretty big deal."

No doubt about it.

Crawford, a sophomore who wasn't even part of the Gators' three-man weekend rotation this season, faced the minimum 27 batters. The only player to reach base was Bethune-Cookman's Jake Welch on a walk in the third inning, and Florida catcher Mike Zunino threw him out trying to steal.

Crawford (6-2) struck out five and walked one for the Gators' first no-hitter since 1991, by John Burke ? also the last one thrown in the NCAA tournament ? in a 2-0 win over Furman. Crawford needed just 98 pitches, throwing 70 for strikes, for Florida (43-18).

It was the fifth no-hitter by a single pitcher in program history; Florida also has had three combined no-hitters.

"Unbelievable," Bethune-Cookman coach Jason Beverlin said. "It was a pretty unbelievable game. Crawford did an unbelievable job pitching, probably an understatement."

Crawford completed his no-hitter less than an hour before the New York Mets' Johan Santana threw the first no-no in the team's history, beating St. Louis 8-0.

The Wildcats managed to hit just six balls out of the infield, but nearly broke through in their final at-bat when Carlos Delgado ripped a line drive to the right side. Florida second baseman Casey Turgeon leaped to make the catch and secure the no-hitter.

When Turgeon came down with the ball, the crowd roared and Crawford's teammates swarmed him on the field.

"I jumped as high as I could," Turgeon said, "and luckily I got it."

Crawford had first-pitch strikes against 19 of the hitters he faced, and his fastball reached 97 mph in the ninth inning.

"The last batter," Crawford said, "I was just throwing as hard as I could."

His brilliant pitching pushed Florida, the top overall seed in the country, to a matchup with Georgia Tech on Saturday. Bethune-Cookman (34-26) will face the College of Charleston in an elimination game.

The Gators took an early 1-0 lead and piled on three more runs on Turgeon's homer in the bottom of the fifth inning. Turgeon went 3 for 4 and drove in all of Florida's runs.

Crawford, 20, is a soft-spoken guy from Okeechobee, Fla., a town of almost 6,000. Gators coach Kevin O'Sullivan said Crawford's level personality helped him finish out the game while the crowd was in a frenzy.

"You see a lot of innocence with Jonathan," O'Sullivan said. "His calmness helps and Mike Zunino helps a lot with that. They worked outstanding together all night and Mike deserves a lot of credit for that."

The no-hitter was a milestone for Crawford, who threw a total of 3 2/3 innings as a freshman last season.

When Florida went to the College World Series a year ago, O'Sullivan chose to leave Crawford off the roster in favor of more experienced pitchers.

"Twelve months later, he's starting the first game of a regional and he throws a no-hitter," O'Sullivan said. "To me, this is what coaching is all about. This is a night he will never forget and I will never forget."

Goal: Provide better protection to animals sold for retail wholesale from abuse and neglect.

The USDA?s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is considering an amendment to the Animal Welfare Act that will redefine the term ?retail pet store? in order to protect animals sold sight unseen via the internet, phone, and mail-order. The original law predated the Internet, leaving a loophole for breeders who can now sell their animals over the Internet, phone, and by mail, and the buyer cannot see for themselves that the animal has been humanely treated.

The rule would also require licensing and regular inspections by the federal government to ensure that the breeding animals and their offspring are treated humanely. The rule would also allow any premises exempt from licensing up to four breeding females on the premises, though the offspring cannot be sold online, through the mail or telephone, or through another retail premises, or the location would lose their exemption.

This new rule will help prevent abuse and neglect seen at breeder mills, and include any animal sold, whether for retail or wholesale. If the retail pet store is exempt, the buyer will be able to view the animal and see that it is treated humanely. If the premises is not exempt, the retail pet store will be subject to regular inspections by the federal government, so that any buyer can be satisfied that the animals are humanely treated.

By signing the petition below, you are asking the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to please add the proposed amendment to the Animal Welfare Act.

On her trip to the northern Norwegian city of Tromso, she conveyed that message of working together in one of the world's last frontiers of unexplored oil, gas and mineral deposits. The region is becoming more significant as melting icecaps accelerate the opening of new shipping routes, fishing stocks and drilling opportunities.

To safely tap the riches, the U.S. and other countries near the North Pole are trying to cooperate to combat harmful climate change, settle territorial disputes and prevent oil spills.

"The world increasingly looks to the North," Clinton told reporters after a two-hour boat tour of the nearby Balsfjord and meeting with Arctic scientists. "Our goal is certainly to promote peaceful cooperation," she said, adding that the U.S. was "committed to promoting responsible management of resources and doing all we can to prevent and mitigate the effects of climate change."

At the least, the U.S. and the other Arctic nations hope to avoid a confrontational race for resources. Officials say the picture looks more promising than five years ago when Russia staked its claim to supremacy in the Arctic and its $9 trillion in estimated oil reserves by planting a titanium flag on the ocean floor.

The United States does not recognize the Russian assertion and has its own claims, along with Denmark, Norway and Canada, while companies from Exxon Mobil Corp. to Royal Dutch Shell PLC want to get in on the action. China also is keeping a close eye on the region.

Moscow has eased tensions somewhat by promising to press any claims through an agreed U.N. process. But Washington has yet to ratify the 1982 Law of the Sea treaty regulating the ocean's use for military, transportation and mineral extraction purposes.

With 160 countries having signed on, the Obama administration is making a new push for U.S. Senate approval. Refusal puts the U.S. at risk of getting frozen out of its share of the spoils.

Arguing for its ratification at a recent Senate hearing, Clinton said the treaty would offer the U.S. oil and gas rights some 600 miles into the Arctic. She said American companies were "equipped and ready to engage in deep seabed mining," but needed to join the treaty to take exploit oil, gas and mineral reserves.

On Saturday, in the eight-nation Arctic Council's home city, she stressed that the international agreement "sets down the rules of the road that protect freedom of navigation and provides maritime security, serving the interest of every nation that relies on sea lanes for commerce and trade."

The Arctic's warming is occurring at least twice as fast as anywhere else, threatening to raise sea levels by up to 5 feet this century and possibly causing a 25 percent jump in mercury emissions over the next decade. The changes could threaten polar bears, whales, seals and indigenous communities hunting those animals for food, not to mention islands and low-lying areas much farther away, from Florida to Bangladesh.

The changing climate also is changing the realm of what is possible from transportation to tourism, with the summer ice melting away by more than 17,000 square miles each year. During the most temperate days last year, only one-fifth of the Arctic Circle was ice-covered. Little of the ice has been frozen longer than two years, which is harder for icebreakers to cut through.

Europeans see new shipping routes to China that, at least in the warmth and sunlight of summer, are 40 percent faster than traveling through the Indian Ocean, the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea. A northwest passage between Greenland and Canada could significantly speed cargo traveling between the Dutch shipping hub of Rotterdam and ports in California.

The Arctic Council is hoping to manage the new opportunities in a responsible way. It includes former Cold War foes U.S. and Russia, but Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said governments were prepared to deepen cooperation "in a region that used to be frozen, both politically and climatically."

"Now there is a thaw," he said.

Last year in Greenland, Clinton and her counterparts from other nations took a small step toward international cooperation by agreeing to coordinate Arctic search-and-rescue missions for stranded sailors and others.

Officials are now trying to enhance the cooperation, including through joint plans to prevent oil spills in an environment that would make cleanup a logistical nightmare.

The U.S. has been championing measures such as shifting away from dirty diesel engines, agricultural burning and hydrofluorocarbons to lessen the effect of short-lived greenhouse gases that are a particularly potent source of climate change in the Arctic.
