Winnebago Promotes Vice President

FOREST CITY, Iowa (AP) - Recreational vehicle manufacturer Winnebago Industries has promoted a vice president of sales to lead the segment of its business that makes RVs towed behind vehicles.

Johnny Hernandez becomes president of Winnebago Industries Towables, succeeding Elvie Frey, who resigned to pursue other interests.

Hernandez, who is 56, has worked in the RV industry for 38 years.

Winnebago, based in Forest City, acquired the assets of SunnyBrook RV Inc. in 2010 for $5.7 million to add towable units to its existing line of gas- and diesel-powered RVs.
